What Are Tweetups?
Hi everyone!
I'm Gary Cope, or @garycope on Twitter. I'm writing to invite you all to the next Blacksburg Tweetup this Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at Moe's Southwest Grill in downtown Blacksburg. We will be Webcasting the Tweetup through UStream.tv - a link to that channel is available on our Facebook fan page. Speaking of which, I encourage all of you to join our Facebook fan page so you can keep in touch with what's going on in the Blacksburg Twitter community. Share ideas, make new connections and open up a world of possibilities through new networking opportunities!
Okay, next up, just wanted to let you know that if you know another area that might want a custom Tweetup logo based on the one above, just shoot me an e-mail. And, I just learned how to make my very own HTML e-mail newsletters, so if you would like to learn how, well, now you know someone that knows how. Okay, that's all I have for today. Please feel free to forward this on to anyone that you think might want to attend our Tweetup, even if they aren't on Twitter - what a great opportunity to spread the word of social media and networking!

Every so often, Twitter users in and around Blacksburg, Virginia gather at a local establishment for what is called a "Tweetup".
